Secrets of the Deep

The ocean's depths have always fascinated me - so many strange creatures and sights under the churning, blue waves.

Sweet as Honey

There's a chill in the air and we've already had snow here, but this honey ice cream from Saveur looks too tasty and easy not to make! I'm sure it would be a great hot cocoa topper.
Get the recipe here!
The Beach

Amazing photo, titled "The Beach" by Philip Effraim. The mist really sets off the silhouettes of the palm trees and the beachcomber.

Smithsonian Photo Contest Winners

Finalists from the travel section of the Smithsonian Magazine's 6th Annual Photo Contest, taken in China, England, and India (respectively). The first photo, "In the early morning, fishermen clean their nets by Erhai Lake", won the Grand Prize. It looks like a diptych, but it's just one photo. The way the photographer caught the light shining through the trees onto the fishing nets is just incredible!

Breakfast at Tiffany's Wedding

Lovely ideas for a Breakfast at Tiffany's-themed wedding and reception from Utterly Engaged. If you want to take it one step further, give your guests cat and dog masks (like the ones they stole in the movie) as favors!
